It's December! I have been a published author for 9 days. Who woulda thunk it? Keystrokes is doing better than I expected, and I have you to thank for that! Well, I will have a way to thank you soon... An introduction, perhaps? A sexy musician?
I can't wait until he's ready for the tour. He's warming up his vocals, and staying up late to practice his chords just for you. Numero B So this is a big kick in the gibblets... In the new year, little businesses and Indie Authors (read: ME) will have a harder time reaching you on Facebook without forking out some big money. How is this going to work? Well, now you on YOUR feed will see ads of pages (that pay big bucks..btw) that fb has targeted you as as a potential customer for... SAY WHAT? Seriously, this is going around the rumor mill so I am trying to beat it all to the punch and get my app up and running properly, so I can still connect to you EASILY. BANANA Soon.... you may be seeing some pre-purchase forms for Keystrokes. Would you want to see Keystrokes in Paperback? If so, would you order a copy? Would you steal a copy? Would you pirate a copy? 4) I'm still a crappy blogger. I know it could be so much worse than it is, but honestly you can only truly imagine what you know. Right now, I now my city is cold, and snowy and the traffic sucks and the blading causes ice, and the snow is like quicksand and people are grumpy.
But I am not writing to blog and bitch about my weather. It may seem like I am, but really this post is about the kindness of people. This morning, our neighbor's friend stopped by to pick up neighbor. She got stuck in the pile of powder at the bottom of our neighbor's driveway. Unfortunately for friend, this is her first winter driving and her inexperience was not on her side. I helped shovel her out, and then tried to help push. Even with rocking, my little 5'2" frame could not get enough oomf to help her get out of the stew of snow. Another neighbor, who has never spoken a word to any of us, ran over with his shovel and got her out. Grown ups are ensuring children are crossing the roads safely, people are holding doors open for each other, and walks are getting shoveled for older neighbors... but wait. There are still assholes. The ones who speed past you, when you are driving at a safe pace in the right lane, and cause you to swerve and rub the curb, or causing some to spin out. Keeping your head down when you see a woman with children stuck on the side of the road after school not being able to rock out of the drift she is stuck in. Laughing when you see someone fly sideways through a busy intersection, or honking at them like they can stop. OR slamming on your breaks on a busy freeway, whether merging or not, during rush hour in craptastic road conditions. Bravo douche bag. You're a shit head. Don't be a shit head. Be kind this winter. It sucks for everyone, not just you! Still glowing! This is the longest afterglow I have ever had.
So, it turns out CoHo had a release on Sunday night... What a force that woman is. I love CoHo. I've decided to sign up for authorgraph as I am getting several requests via pm. And if you can't tell already. I suck at blogging. So why don't you guys give me a topic. Sent topic ideas to my email So, what can I say?
